Most of the time, people shy away from the topic. Or, if we don’t, then we postpone it forever and a day.

This was a special event on 25 May at the Viva Vita Family Restaurant. Viva Vita generously provided us with amazing platters and a glass of wine each to start the proceedings off.

The group divided into teams to play a game of Jeopardy and get to know each other better.

And then the main speaker, Faf Bouwer, took us through the process of being an executor, and what should be contained in your will.

The main takeaway is that it is not something that you should venture on alone. Get an expert to help you draft it. Discuss it with your family so that there are no surprises and drama when you are no longer here. Appoint a professional that specialises in this as your executor, otherwise, it might take very long to conclude.
